4th Round Draw

First things first. My wife was right. I've returned from an early appointment with my GP who sent me away with antibiotics, a five day sick note and a flea in my ear about travelling over 270 miles to watch football with a respiratory infection. I've already decided that my epitaph will read "I told you I was ill".

But, more importantly, the draw for the Fourth Round Proper was made at 1:30pm today at the FA's Headquarters in Soho Square. The sixteen ties shaped up as follows:

Arsenal v Stoke City/Newcastle
Coventry v Walsall/Millwall
Oldham v Huddersfield Town
Swindon/Barnet v Fulham/Bristol Rovers
Wigan v Chelsea
Luton/Liverpool v Swansea/Havant & Waterlooville
Southend v Barnsley
Southampton v Norwich/Bury
Man Utd v Tottenham/Reading
Portsmouth v Plymouth
Derby/Sheff Wed v Preston
Watford v Wolves
Peterborough v Charlton/West Brom
Sheff Utd v West Ham/Man City
Mansfield v Middlesbrough
Tranmere/Hereford v Cardiff

So for Wolverhampton Wanderers it's a tough trip to fellow Championship side Watford. For me, a short hop around the M25, assuming I can get tickets. A pretty reasonable draw.

In the meantime, I'll carry on taking the tablets.

There will be no trouble with tickets.

Like our third round tie the draw is unlikely to "capture" the Watford faithful's imagination!

Andy....we're all going down with man flu at the moment, but hat's off to you for making the journey, especially with your other half's words ringing in your ears! Good luck with the trip to Watford...having made the journey last year with Pompey in the other cup (a depressing 3-0 defeat), the ground holds no wonderful memories for me! Plymouth for us this round...hoping for a good result and then maybe we can welcome you down to the South Coast! Keep up the good work and wrap up well!! Alan

Hey! Sick-boy. How could you leave out the tie of the round!

Swindon Town or Barnet vs Bristol Rovers or Fulham.

Come on you Whites!!

Oooops! Not sure what happened there, perhaps subconciously thought that the eventual winner is not going to come from one of those four. Mistake rectified, thanks Chop!

Outrageous! Though I suspect Rovers, Swindon & Barnet all have a much better chance than we do at the moment.
